Azadi
Aliya

May 7, 2026
AVAILABLE NOW ON:
“Azadi” emerges from a place where grief, hope, and resistance meet.
Carried by Aliya’s voice and joined by Shahnaz Pakravan and Rahman, the song moves between chant, poetry, and song, weaving English and Farsi into a shared expression. The arrangement draws on acoustic textures, duduk, santoor, strings, and harmonium, holding a sense of grounded intensity without excess.
Written in response to movements for freedom across the world, the song reflects both collective struggle and an inner truth. Even in constraint, something remains untouched.
At its center is a simple idea: that freedom is not only fought for, but remembered. Azadi holds that space, where grief, strength, and clarity exist together.
