  • Translation:

By thinking and thinking again a hundred thousand times one cannot find a solution
By being quiet peace cannot be found, even if poised in deep meditation forever
The hunger of  the hungry cannot be quenched even if carrying food in loads of heavy baggage
One may possess a hundred thousand clever ideas but not even one will accompany him/her
How can one be purified and throw away falsehood?
Walk as spirit wills, commands, as is prewritten

According to Yogi Bhajan "The total knowledge of God and ecstasy is contained in this pauree.  It is an antidote to depression.  It will lift you from the deepest depression, insecurity, nightmares and loss."

Here is a quote by Yogi Bhajan using Sochai Soch:

"When there is a tremendous, absolute temptation just remember, whatever you get here is earth. It has nothing of ether in it. Hmmm? You don't think that way, huh? That's why Guru Nanak said, "Sochai soch naa hova-ee je sochai lakh vaar." Thinking won't work, if you think a hundred thousand times. So you have to have intuition to think that way. Not think that way, but to feel that way. Not to feel that way, but to experience that way. On the spot, on the moment, of time and space. Remember, those who seek to learn from time shall always be hung up in space. Because time creates space. Timelessness is what you are."
