Dya Singh is one of the most phenomenal performer on the stage of world music. He sings about spirituality in his native Punjabi and blends traditional music with modern and contemporary trends. Dya Singh has single-handedly taken the traditional Sikh spiritual music of Punjab into the world music stage. He owes his skills of music to his parents.Dya learnt the Sikh songs and the art of singing from his father in the Sikh �gurudwaras� since the age of five. Dya Singh has twice been awarded 'Instrumentalist of the year' by SAMIA (South Australian Music Industry awards).
