The Awakening begins with an introduction to the breath and the set by veteran Kundalini Yoga instructor Donna Amrita Davidge. Set in a beautiful natural setting, the DVD includes the elements of air and water to further your experience of the yoga practice. The DVD begins with sun salutations and moves into the specifics of the set. This is an excellent set for any level of practitioner, with practices for increasing flexibility and lung capacity and overall energy balance.

Donna Amrita Davidge has been involved with Kundalini Yoga and 3HO since the mid-1980's. She produced her first video in 1990, Strength and Serenity and her second video, The Challenge, in 1996. The Challenge was chosen by Yoga Journal in 2000 in their top ten choices for home practice. In 2004, Amrita worked again with Christian Dinh, the producer of The Challenge, to create the DVD The Awakening.

Amrita has been a dedicated teacher and student of Kundalini Yoga for nearly 25 years and has taught at the Kundalini Yoga winter and summer solstices, also appeared on radio and television. She has been teaching full time in NY City since the mid-80's at health clubs, privately, in corporate settings and at centers such as Kundalini Yoga East and Golden Bridge.

Amrita also owns and operates her own yoga retreat in her great grandfather's historic home, which has a legacy of healing. She continues this tradition summers in Maine and still maintains her teaching practice in NY City when not in Maine.
