Guru Prem Singh Khalsa is a Yoga Teacher and has been teaching Kundalini Yoga for over 25 years. He is certified by the Kundalini Research Institute as a Trainer of Teachers of Kundalini Yoga. Guru Prem travels throughout the world teaching the principles of Divine Alignment to students of all types of Yoga. He has had a Yoga therapy/therapeutic massage practice for 25 years at the Khalsa Medical Clinic in Beverly Hills, CA. Guru Prem began his physical study when he was just seven by enrolling himself in a gymnastics class! He continued to study gymnastics thru high school and then went to USC on a gymnastics scholarship. After college, Guru Prem taught gymnastics for many years and also started his study of Yoga. He has studied and taught many forms of yoga and continues a dedicated practice of Kundalini and Ashtanga Yoga. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife and son and his daughter attends school in India.
In Brooklyn, NY, 1972, Simran Kaur Khalsa was one of the first 'Western' Sikh's born. She grew up in the Brooklyn Ashram, surrounded by Chanting, Bani's, Gurbani and music of all kinds! She heard the Khalsa Sting Band, who made regular visits to New York City and she heard Wah! making music and performing all the time. In 1980 she went to India and began to learn voice and harmonium, and on returning to the US she began studying Western voice. For the last 21 years in Los Angeles, her husband GuruPrem Singh and she have been playing music and singing whenever they are given the opportunity, they play every week at Guru Ram Das Ashram.
Jai-Jagdeesh's journey as a singer began over 20 years ago, in a temple in India, and the soundcurrent continued all through her childhood. While at school in Amritsar, she traveled around Northern India as one of the musical representatives of Yogi Bhajan's foreign education program (now Miri Piri Academy), playing kirtan everywhere the students were invited. Between then and now, her creative spirit has walked many artistic paths - actress, classical Indian dancer, photographer and writer - and she says "I find myself in perfect balance now that music has returned to the forefront." She is deeply devoted to sharing these sacred sounds, and sings them from the center of her heart. Jai-Jagdeesh's first album, I Am Thine, was a best-seller at Summer Solstice 2011.

Wow! What a voice. I have been doing Kundalini Yoga for only a month and I love it. My teacher Sadhu in Miami has been my great teacher. He always plays great music during class and private sessions and I discovered Jai-Jagdeesh through him. Her voice just takes me away and is so pleasant, I listen to the "I am Thine" album while stuck in traffic and sang my heart out and go a lot of stares on the highway, lol. The music soulful and deeply meaningful. I have been hooked and was wondering if she had another CD yet. So now I'm gladly going to get The Expansive Spirit. Taking time out of a busy schedule to say yet again what a great discovery this website has been. This Album by Jai-Jadeesh has been like a huge breath of fresh air to a weary soul! (hard start to 2012!) I stumbled across the Artist purely by accident from seeing her wonderful live rendition of Aad Guray Namay at Spirit Fest last year on YouTube. I then bought her album and what an absolute treasure. Contempory, relevant yet all the elements of history, tradition and respectful worship. It has been on constant play since I purchased it……fabulous. I’ve said before when I first discovered Snatam Kaur, I just love how this music speaks to me so strongly when I am neither Sikh and a woman of colour (must say I don’t see many of us at your events, maybe I will have to come out to the States one day and change that!) For me this music cuts effortlessly across all boundaries of class, religion or colour as long as you are open to receive and I am humbled to have discovered it.
