The title of this CD is a reflection of the Primal Power or Shakti of its mantras. These chants take you to a state of fearlessness and ecstasy. Shakti has a selection of four different stanzas from Jaap Sahib (Sikh Morning Prayer), in which Guru Gobind Singh beautifully and directly describes the many facets of God and God consciousness. One of which is a beautiful rendition of Gobinday Mukanday. Gurushabd had a personal vision experience of Gobinday Mukanday one morning following his early morning meditations. ??.I had a vision of myself on a battlefield in India in the late 1600?s. It was a blistering hot Indian summer day and in the midst of battle I was struck from behind with a heavy steel mace. As I lay on the ground dying, all the noises of battle around me fell silent and I was enveloped in ecstasy as my soul left my body. In this state of soul-awareness, I hovered above the battlefield sitting in a meditative posture and began chanting Gobinday Mukanday. As I chanted, the voices of angels, past relatives, and other spiritual entities joined with me in singing the mantra. With each repetition, we became absorbed further into ecstasy until we all merged into the Light?.
Yogi Ji has said this about these Chands of Jaap Sahib, ?The recitation of Jaap Sahib gives you Vaak Siddhi. That is, whatever you say must happen. God is bound to perform and deliver.?
