Ben Iobst is a sound pioneer & bodywork therapist who has a deep knowledge of resonant bells and bowls, using 25 singing bowls on this recording from the Himalayan countries of Tibet, Nepal & Bhutan. Each is a combination of seven metals that have been melted together and formed into the bowls that range in size from 4 1/2 inches to 11 1/2 inches in diameter. Very high quality sound.
The two 28-minute pieces begin and end with metal or bamboo chimes; in between the sound meditations move through an open space of resonating pitches and calming atmospheres. Highly recommended for bodywork, studying, yoga, meditation, and creating a resonant environment.
