The Story Behind Savasana
The original tracks were recorded in August 2000. I had taken a month off from touring, and was badly in need of rest and healing. I had become more involved in Anusara Yoga and Ashtanga Yoga practices, and had expanded my own routines to include these. I began practicing at various yoga centers and some people who knew me started asking me to play music during the Savasana time.

Wah! has become a sensation in the yoga world with her spiritual,Eastern-tinged sound. A trendsetter, spiritual pioneer and record labelfounder, she has developed a large and dedicated following after more thanten years of touring, recording, and releasing records. Her mysticalrelaxation CD Savasana has sold over 50,000 units worldwide and continues todraw attention in the yoga community and beyond.

Wah!'s latest CD Maa creates an uptempo mix of New Age, world music, andambient electronica targeting yoga centers, dance networks, and sacredfestivals. The album features instrumentalists from the pop and hip-hopworlds. There are ten tracks in Sanskrit, three in English.
