Guru Rattana PhD

Gurudass Singh was born in New York and was raised in Puerto Rico. With a natural gift for music, Gurudass attended the Berkeley College of Music where he focused on guitar and composition. When he chose to become a Sikh in 1972, he brought with him a musical masala that keeps getting better with time. His natural talent for singing and songwriting have the power to reach a person's soul and create joy in the heart. His songs have become part of the Khalsa traditions.

Gurudass Singh travels the world teaching yoga and music. He currently lives Santiago, Chile.

Gurudass Kaur is a Kundalini Yoga teacher and musician whose strong and powerful vocals mirror her amazing spirit. She is a very gifted singer and musician. Her beautiful and powerful voice has the gift to uplift and expand the mind into a pure state of bliss.  She is often heard signing and playing in many well-known Kundalini Yoga music recordings.

Gurudass Kaur has been a teacher of Kundalini Yoga since 1972.  She opened the first Kundalini Yoga School in Barcelona, Spain in 1978 and has been an active teacher trainer in Europe for many years. Her big heart and gift with people have placed her on the forefront of many 3HO events, both in Europe and the USA.

Gurudass Kaur presently lives in Northern Virginia and is the mother of two beautiful (grown up) children.

Recorded between 1974 and 1985, "Flowers in the Rain" communicates the deep connection between Gurudass Singh's own spiritual experiences, the history of Sikh Dharma, and the profound impact that Yogi Bhajan had on his students in the West.

Yogi Bhajan fell in love with many of these songs and incorporated them into White Tantric Yoga? courses and many gatherings of his students around the world. Of the music born during this period, Yogi Bhajan said, "When people forget their songs, they forget their harmony, their melody and essence of life. These songs have been given to you. Sing them as a human and God will walk behind you."

This collection will be a walk down memory lane for those who transitioned from children of Woodstock to students of Kundalini Yoga. To hear the deep love and devotion in these songs will awaken the deep longing for the divine that inspired a generation to search for a brighter future.
