SSA Ji, I got to know about this album "aquarian" while browsing and very much thankful to GOD for bringing me here. I cant describe the softness of the voice in words, its just amazing. As is said " as you will go towards GOD and are more and more inclined towards him, different form of arts will come to your soul , this is the case here as i can experiince , the voice in aquarian is so sweet and we may clearly guess how true is name of GOD with pure sweetness." Also i would like to mention ( actually i dont mean to hurt anybody''s feelings) as i listened to Maskeen Ji a lot and according to him description Moolmantra is only till "gurprasad" as is the "basic" "Mool" mantra and can be seen many times in small or big alphabets in Sri guru granth sahib which descibes the qualities of GOD. and "Jap" is name of the bani which we call "japji sahib" and "aad sach.......bhi sach" is the first "salok" of japji sahib and "pavan guru pani pita......shutti naal" is the second and last salok in japji sahib. so these are two saloks in start and end of this bani but the Moolmantra is only till "gurprasad". This is wot i learnt from books and renowed "katha watchaks". Though there is no end to such discussions but based on grammer and the looking at the way all gurbani is written and depicted we can follow the rules so that we may understand wot our guru''s actually tried to mention..Thanks and Sorry if i hurt anybody''s feelings as i realy dont mean that...SSA

Description

Nirinjan`s voice has been somewhat legendary amongst the Kundalini Yoga community since she began singing at various events over the last few years. This sadhana CD is her first major release and a beautiful version of the morning sadhana chants. Her angelic voice soars over the subtle instrumentation on this CD.

Nirinjan Kaur

Nirinjan Kaur was born in Vancouver, B.C. to a Kundalini Yoga practicing, Sikh family. With two musical parents, shefound her love for singing at an early age. Her father still tells stories of how Nirinjan could be heard singing her heart out to her favorite songs, whether they were in the car going to school, or just playing around the house. As time went on, she became very interested in Kundalini Yoga and the Sikh faith, and became a certified Kundalini Yoga teacher at age 13. Sacred chanting goes hand in hand with both of these traditions, and Nirinjan quickly found a merging of two loves: spirituality and singing. She began singing among her family and community, at yoga gatherings and Sikh services.

In 2003, when she was 15, she began attending Miri Piri Academy in Amritsar, India. While in high school there, she studied Classical Indian Music with a focus on Gurbani Kirtan (sacred Sikh singing) with a master, Ustaad Narinder Singh Sandhu. After 3 years, she graduated from Miri Piri Academy with newfound experiences of life, as well as of music and singing.

In the summer of 2007 her first album Aquarian was released. Also, that summer Nirinjan Kaur and Siri Amrit Singh were happily married. Siri Amrit, as well as being born into a Sikh family, also grew up with a love of Gurbani Kirtan. They are now enjoying their new life together in Eugene, Oregon.
