DescriptionThe 25th Pauri is traditionally chanted in the language of Gurmukhi, the ecclesiastical script of the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, the holy book of the Sikhs. Gurmukhi literally means "from the mouth of the Guru" and is also known as Punjabi, although Gurmukhi is spoken in one area of India and other derivatives of it are spoken near Pakistan.
The 25th Pauri is a vibrational experience, and chanting it 3-11 times per day will elevate you to the number seven according to Yogi Bhajan, who brought Kundalini Yoga to the West in 1969.
There are a few editions of the 25th Pauri available, and what sets this version apart is the Western flavor of the music, reminiscent of Seventies rock.
Both versions of this song were recorded completely live, 11 verses each time, pure 25th Pauri, also known as "Bahota Karam."
The simplest way to learn these chants by singing along phonetically, although there are words printed in the liner notes if you need to satisfy more curiosity.
This chant will take your mind out of duality, so after chanting it or merely listening to it you might experience a more liberated view of your current situation.
Personally, my experience was and is that when you chant it 3-11 times per day, little miracles start to happen, then larger ones, and opportunities you didn't think were out there come directly to you.

Artist Bio| | When she was three years old, she was able to pick out songs that she heard on the piano. At six, she began the long journey with classical piano lessons and joined choirs wherever she was. She made her first actual record album at 13 years of age and started playing guitar at 19. In 1989 she started her own production company, released several recordings, became a Kundalini Yoga Teacher in 2001, and in 2009 released her first chant Cd, the 25th Pauri. Yogi Bhajan named her Sohan Kaur. It means “your inner beauty is you.”
After her first experience with the healing power of the Naad, she started traveling across the country in a pick-up truck, practicing chants while driving along many vast and beautiful landscapes. Later she became a massage therapist. Her focus continues to be healing and the many facets and lessons that accompany that experience.
She believes in the transformational power of the Naad and longs to create more chant music in the future with the vision that the healing power of music can assist people across the planet to wholly embrace light, grace, and peace, accompanied by the gentle sounds originally written in poems by the beautiful Sikh Gurus. | | |
