Artist BioTodd Boston| | San Francisco based guitarist/multi-instrumentalist and composer Todd Boston lives a musical life. He brings with him a devoted heart to connect, share and enrich the lives of those he touches through the positive effects of music, sound, and vibration.
While spending a number of months in the pristine mountains of Vermonthe has recently completed his second album titled Touched by the Sun with Grammy winning producer Will Ackerman (Windham Hill Records) and a group of world class musicians including Tony Levin (Peter Gabriel) Eugene Friesen (Paul Winter Consort), Jeff Haynes (Pat Methany Group) and vocalist Snatam Kaur. He will be touring internationally in support of the new album as a soloist, as well as in various ensembles including singer Snatam Kaur's band together with long time musical partner Ramesh Kannan (Tabla, Percussion) throughout 2012.
On stage, he fuses an acoustic world sound with advanced finger style guitar techniques, percussion and various instruments in combination with live looping technology to create a mesmerizing and impressionable sound. As a performer for concert audiences, yoga classes or at the bed side of hospital patients, Todd invokes the feelings of nature in his melodic and rhythmic playing to inspire his listeners.
"Todd Boston is almost impossibly talented, he's a brilliant guitarist. Touched by the Sun is the work of a mature artist who has come of age and who has given us a great recording of singularity and value, the world's a better place for his gift." ~ Will Ackerman (Grammy winner and found of Windham Hill Records)

Ramesh Kannan Music and its power to transform and heal has always been a passion for Ramesh Kannan. Growing up in a musical household, the healing power of music was introduced to him at a very young age. His mother, an accomplished carnatic vocalist, introduced him to tabla drums at the age of 8. His lifelong musical journey has lead him to learn a wide array of percussive instruments including drum set, djembe, dumbek, udu, cajon and many melodic instruments including guitar, bass, and voice. Tabla remains to be Ramesh's discipline and focal instrument.
Living in his hometown of Philadelphia, PA, Ramesh started his professional musical career at the age of 17. Ramesh quickly became a well-respected figure in the artistic and musical community, collaborating with a versatile body of musicians including local singer songwriters, jazz musicians, Indian classical musicians, and orchestras. During this time he toured the country extensively with Philly's own 16-piece percussion orchestra Spokenhand, giving performances and workshops at universities, festivals, and theaters around the country.
Ramesh has had the opportunity to collaborate with numerous internationally renown artists including Zakir Hussain, Snatam Kaur, Krishna Das, Jai Uttal, Bhagavan Das, Deva Premal, Mitten, Manose, Will Ackerman, Tony Levin, GuruGanesha Singh, Rick Allen, and many more. Having played with such a diverse roster of musicians and styles of music, Ramesh has cultivated a sound that is unique to itself. Ramesh resides in Santa Cruz, CA with his wife and son, and continues to perform internationally with Snatam Kaur, and produce music with his long time musical partner Todd Boston. Ramesh is also a Licensed Acupuncturist, and when he is not touring, teaching or recording, Ramesh is practicing acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine in San Francisco, CA.
