Description
About This Recording

I missed almost all of the Fall festival that Year. As soon as I got
home from work, I raced out to
catch the end of Gurucharan Singh’s class. As I sat down towards the
rear of the crowd, He was
bringing them gently out of the stillness following deep meditation to
explain the final technique
of the day. The Isht Sodhana Mantra Kriya. It was for “straightening
out” the  relationship
between the finite self and the infinite self - to manifest intention
so that destiny can be fulfilled.

Gurucharan and I had talked about this meditation being part of the
series, but now it had risen
to the top of my list. I was captivated by the mantra, and that
particular group learning experience.
I was more than a little peeved that I had not arranged to record it.
It was then that I learned that
my neighbor Dharam Singh ( sound-man that year ) had recorded the whole
class that day.
Thank you Dharam!

Track two on this disc is an attempt to deliver to you the energy of
that day. Sure, we could have
created a super-clean studio recorded lecture. But I think you will
enjoy being there with us, under
that huge tent on the grounds of the Guru Ram Das Ashram and Gurdwara,
as we practice
the Isht Sodhana Mantra Kriya together.

Track three is designed around a short loop of Gurucharan Singh
Demonstrating the mantra on
that same day. His voice is present throughout the entire 62 minutes,
blended with a choir of
20 Gurusangat Singhs. When you are meditating with this track, You will
notice the choir drop
out and allow Gurucharan to complete two solo repetitions of the
mantra. This will happen at
11 minutes, 22 minutes 31 minutes and to conclude at 62 minutes. In
this way, you can be
aware of when you have fulfilled your personal time commitment to this
meditation.

I hope that you will enjoy this practice, and that the Miracle Mantra
Series will continue to enrich
your experience of Yogi Bhajan’s teachings!

Sat Nam,

Gurusangat Singh

"This mantra brings prosperity, happiness, and saves us from calamities.  It is the sound current which brings a shield and brings good luck and removes discomfort and disease.  It is the key to the doorway of self elevation."  - Yogi Bhajan

Here are instructions for practicing this meditation:

Posture: Sit in easy pose.

Focus: Eyes are closed and focused at the third-eye point.

Mantra: Har Har Har Har Gobinday - Har Har Har Har Mukanday - Har Har Har Har Udaray - Har Har Har Har Aparay - Har Har Har Har Hariang - Har Har Har Har Kariang - Har Har Har Har Nirnamay - Har Har Har Har Akamay

Mudra: Bend your elbows so that your hands are comfortable in front of you at approximately shoulder height.  Chant the mantra.  When you chant the word 'Har,' quickly open and close your hands as you pull the navel point in and up.  Repeat these actions each time you chant 'Har.'

Time: 11 minutes.

End: Inhale deeply, hold your breath.  Exhale and relax.
