Description
Release Date: September 17th

Tanmayo's debut release Dust at Your Feet is a gentle window into the deep longing of a soul searching for the divine. Tanmayo's rich vocals are wrapped in beautiful layers of instrumentation including her own incredible violin with sarod, bamboo flute, and haunting keyboards. Tanmayo pulls from her rich Scottish background and her years studying in India and blends her own poetry with chants from a wealth of different faiths.

The opening track Through the Darkness wraps beautiful English lyrics around the mantra Guru Brahma Guru Vishnu with haunting vocals and violin dancing across the top of the entire song.

Love Actually, the second track, is an amazing fusion love song with exotic Indian sargams (scales) done as a duet between Tanmayo and world-famous tabla player and vocalist, Manish Vyas accompanied by a fusion of sarod, bamboo flute and Western percussion, keyboards and bass.

The album has two deeply moving songs about the soul's connection with the divine and the teacher that shares that experience with their student including Eternity's Edge and the title track Dust at Your Feet.

Tanmayo does a fun version of the chant 'Aad Guray Nameh' made popular by Snatam Kaur and then Deva Premal, that has a driving bass beat and fun playful rhythms and instruments dancing through it.

The track Tir Nan 'Og is a haunting Celtic chant with a strong bass beat and soaring violins.

The track Nada Te Turbe is a prayer from Saint Theresa of Avila put to music by Tanmayo.

And the closing track, Amazing Grace, takes the traditional melody of this well known song and surrounds it with the sweetest of flute and keyboards, adding a few of her own lyrics and a sweet chant in the mix.

Overall, listening to this album, one has an experience of the journey of the soul through the darkness lit by the beauty of Tanmayo's music.

"This mantra brings prosperity, happiness, and saves us from calamities.  It is the sound current which brings a shield and brings good luck and removes discomfort and disease.  It is the key to the doorway of self elevation."  - Yogi Bhajan

Here are instructions for practicing this meditation:

Posture: Sit in easy pose.

Focus: Eyes are closed and focused at the third-eye point.

Mantra: Har Har Har Har Gobinday - Har Har Har Har Mukanday - Har Har Har Har Udaray - Har Har Har Har Aparay - Har Har Har Har Hariang - Har Har Har Har Kariang - Har Har Har Har Nirnamay - Har Har Har Har Akamay

Mudra: Bend your elbows so that your hands are comfortable in front of you at approximately shoulder height.  Chant the mantra.  When you chant the word 'Har,' quickly open and close your hands as you pull the navel point in and up.  Repeat these actions each time you chant 'Har.'

Time: 11 minutes.

End: Inhale deeply, hold your breath.  Exhale and relax.
