A nursing mother needs a lot of support. This simple yogic recipe given by Yogi Bhajan for nursing mother's to drink once a day will help get you through the day. Your baby won't mind the luscious milk you produce, either.
Nursing Mother's Milk
6 oz. organic milk
6-8 blanched almonds....soaked and peeled
2 tbsp. ghee (clarified butter)
1-2 tsp. honey
Blend well and drink once a day.
Here's a special addition tip to increase milk production: Boil fennel seeds, anise seeds and cumin seeds for 10 minutes. Strain well and drink.
