Winter Solstice in Florida

Fresh back from Winter Solstice, I find myself re-inspired and excited for the new sound, artists and events coming up for 2010!
Nirinjan didn't join us in Florida this year as she is about 7 months pregnant but her album, Adhara, was very well received and by far our best seller.

I had heard a rumor that Guru Raj Kaur was pregnant with Nirinjan when she recorded the Narayan Shabd. Music & babies seem to be linked.

There are many talented musicians every year but the live performances that moved me the most were definitely from Simrit. She is partially done with what is turning out to be an excellent album - The Sweetest Nectar. Become a fan at and hear two of the tracks at facebook.com/simritkaurmusic

Some Other Highlights!

1. The Spirit Voyage booth was set up next to a company called iloveyoga.com which has some really nice kundalini yoga clothing. I enjoyed hanging with Moses who cruises in a huge I Love Yoga bus.

2. Spirit Fest is going to be amazing! I had our first version of the poster. I have never seen so much excitement for an event. Ditta did a great job with the posters and people were picking them up non stop. With 11 bands over 3 days we are going to have a kundalini music festival like no other. Confirmed so far are Snatam Kaur, Guruganesha Singh, Gurmukh, Sat Kirin, Sat Kartar, Hari Bhajan, Sada Sat Kaur, Gurunam, and Nirinjan. More updates on that soon.
