This was so much fun! Definitely do more. I love hearing his stories.
I know I’ve posted this somewhere else before, but can’t resist adding here. I lived in DC when GGS arrived at the Golden Temple Conscious Cookery – it was late one night and we were cleaning up the kitchen. He walked in the back door, the kitchen, with his big smile, his guitar case, and his backpack. The guy who was on dish duty took one look at GuruGanesha and pronounced “Good, you can do late-night” (our short-hand for being the last people to stay and do the full clean-up – usually lasted til midnight or later). He took off his plastic apron and handed it to GGS and left for the night. (without any instructions or anything

Obviously GGS remembers it sort of that way too.
I have to say that to this day, when he’s not on tour…..in his very own home……….GuruGanesha still happily does the dishes………..and uses that mantra to turn lemons into lemonade.
