Running with Love Infinite Divine by Harnam Singh
A few months ago amidst some huge transitions in my life I began running.
I’ve never been a runner. I’ve never even liked running. But after hitting age 30, it was obvious I needed to step up my workout if I wanted to stay healthy. I also knew that I needed to start running to help me get through the emotional turmoil I was going through from my divorce. I needed to push through the pain, go beyond it all, and not stop until I was finished. I needed to not give up.
I found a running partner who provided me with just the kind of encouragement and motivation I needed to get started. But I always had this nagging feeling that I’d never be able to do it without her, and I needed to do this on my own.
The first time I ran by myself, I had just downloaded Love Infinite Divine by Harnam Singh on my iPod. From the moment I heard the album, I loved it, but I had NO idea what it was capable of. I started running and as I listened to the music I felt it…I felt this incredible source of inspiration to keep on going. I ran like I’ve never ran before. I was lost in the music. I still felt the exhaustion in my muscles and the burn in my lungs, but with every strum of Harnam’s guitar, and every stroke of the keyboard, and every note sung, I was able to keep going and dig deeper inside myself finding a strength and endurance I didn’t know I was capable of.
As I continue to face challenges through this time of transition in my life, I find myself reaching for this album again and again. There is something about it that is so comforting to my soul. I always feel good after listening to it. And there's just nothing else that gets me up that hill on the road, or in life, quite like it.
