The first step to moving out of lack and into prosperity consciousness is your mindset. You have to feel prosperous in order to live your way into prosperity. In Kundalini yoga, one would call this your projection. That which you project, is drawn to you. Some spiritual teachers refer to it as vibration. Your vibrational offering must match that which you desire. It all comes down to how we create in the cosmic laboratory of our lives. We create more of that which we put our focus and attention on. But there’s more going on that just the conscious mind. Negative patterning can exist subconsciously and on very deep levels.
Suppose you’ve tried different meditations and affirmations for abundance, but you’re still surrounded by an absence of means. You haven’t failed. It’s just that the patterning runs deep and might need a different tool to access.
According to Yogi Bhajan, the fourth pauri of Japji “blesses those trapped in feelings of poverty and lack of means. It blasts through the trap of these feelings like a thunderbolt.”
When you find yourself feeling poor and feeling like you can’t get a leg up, relax your way into this pauri of Japji. Repeating any one pauri 11 times per day for 40 days has a measurable effect. In this case, to bring the consciousness of prosperity to you.
The words in this pauri refer to how God (the great formless, the Oneness, the Universe) bestows gifts on those who recite the name early in the morning and ponder the greatness of the Divine.
Here’s what that means to me:
The early morning is a time where vibration is very pure and clear. It’s like a time of a thinness between the veils of reality and Reality. It’s easy to feel the presence of the Divine during this time. Reciting the name means connecting with the vibration of the sound current. These sounds have a life of their own and carry a powerful vibration strong enough to shift yours. Trust the power and presence of these sounds and feel deeply and profoundly the magnificence of the Divine, which by its very nature is abundant and generous. Your heart opens. Blocks dissolve. You have the opportunity to realize that Ek Ong Kar…the creation and the Creator are one. If it is abundant in nature, so are you. You become aware of your abundance. You project prosperity. You vibrate blessings. And the thunderbolt of this pauri sparks a fire within you that can change your life.
Prosperity is a consciousness. The 4th Pauri of Japji is a doorway into it.
The Fourth Pauri of Japji Sahib
