Today, I descended on Washington DC along with over 1700 other yogis including my fellow bikram yoga teachers Insel, Reggie, as well as my mom and more. It was an honor to be part of the teaching staff demonstrating the yoga postures on stage as Peggy Mulqueen led us.
The whole event was sponsored by Lululemon, the stylish yoga clothes retailer.
It was a dynamic asana practice right in front of the Washington Monument. Chill out vibes were played by Sunil Narang of the Hypnotic Gurus, accompanied by other musical guests. Afterward, we journeyed along the Potomac river to do yoga postures amidst breathtaking cherry blossoms and historical sites. These cherry blossoms, besides being an enduring metaphor for the ephemeral nature of life, were given to our nation by Japan to celebrate a growing friendship.
I was so high from practicing yoga all day with so many great yogis & yoginis. Thanks to Lululemon for putting on such a fun event to share yoga and build community in the nation's capital!

After the class, we went and did yoga postures all over the DC area. It was so much fun!

Insel still loves those yoga pants!
