The mood on Monday is all business. Get to work, take care of the details, and get organized. It is also a day to take stock of your daily routine and ask yourself what you are doing or not doing on a daily basis to promote good health for yourself and your family. Are you eating well? What is your exercise plan? Do you even have an exercise plan? Get down to the nuts and bolts of what needs to be done, how much time you need to carve out for yourself, and what you need to do differently in order to meet these goals.
Set your new plan into action on Tuesday or Wednesday, the time of the New Moon in Virgo. The New Moon is exact in the middle of the night on Tuesday, so depending on your time zone it either falls on Tuesday night (for those on the Pacific coast) or first thing on Wednesday morning (for those on the East coast). Either way, the energetic message is the same: it’s time to set a new cycle into motion. It is time to let go of something that no longer serves you in order to make room for something in your life that is healthy and beneficial. Maybe you decide to start a new 40-day kriya or meditation. Breath exercises, while often overlooked, are truly one of the most powerful forms of kundalini practice out there!
Bring yourself and your mood into balance on Wednesday, with the help of the Moon in Libra. On this day we are asked to meditate on equality and partnership. Do things with others. Reach out to people around you. Don’t attempt the impossible by yourself. Solicit help from those around you.
It is probably no accident that Thursday, the UN International Day of Peace, comes at a time when the Moon is transiting Libra, the sign associated with peace and balance. Let your prayer for peace resonate into the cosmos on this day. Lead your students in meditations for peace. Set aside time during your work day to gather your co-workers and lead them in a visualization for peace. Do this in your home with your family. Create a work of art to represent your feelings and your intentions.
Friday marks the day of the Fall Equinox – a time of exact balance on the Earth. There are equal amounts of daylight versus darkness, however, now things are going to change. For the next six months, for those in the Northern Hemisphere, there will be more darkness in a day than light. For those in the Southern Hemisphere, as summer approaches, there will begin to be more light in a day than dark.
Also, Friday marks the day that the Sun moves into the balanced air sign of Libra, bringing a new backdrop of energy for the next 30 days. During this time we are asked to look inward and see where we need to bring balance into our lives. Maybe we are putting too much energy in our careers and not enough at home. Maybe we are focused too much on ourselves and our own needs and not enough on others or our relationships, or vice versa. Use this next month to truly self-examine and make the changes that need to be made in order to bring yourself into balance.
The energy on Saturday is emotional and intense. With the Moon in extreme Scorpio, there is a tendency to get fired up about even the smallest things. The expression, “making mountains out of molehills” comes to mind. Look out for this and try not to fall into the trap. Manipulation, secrets and power plays are also running rampant. Do your best to act and not react.
Sunday is a good day for follow-through. Get things done. Cross the finish line. In terms of difficult emotions, get to the heart of the matter. Don’t just look at the surface situation. Find what is at the root – at the core. It is a day to do things with passion.
