Raw Celery Raisin Drink

Ingredient

2 + stalks of celery

1 big kiddo handful of organic raisins

½ cup of purified H20

1-3+ Wahe Guru’s

Directions: Place raisins in purified water and allow to soak several hours or until the water is colored by the raisins. Run the celery through the juicer and place in the fridge until raisins are softened and ready for use. Once the raisins are softened, place all ingredients including water (as needed to dilute) into a high speed blender. Whizz up until frothy and mostly smooth.

Tidbits: This drink calms and relaxes the nervous system. Celery juice is highly nutritious and is one of the most hydrating foods containing natural sodium, Vitamins B1, B2, B6, C and is dense in potassium, folic acid, calcium, magnesium, iron, phosphorus, sodium and essential amino acids. Celery juice is alkalizing to the body and can reestablish PH levels. When combined with raisins it balances the sweetness with the saltiness of the juice.

Raw Vegan Date Mylk

Ingredients

1 cup of raw soaked de-shelled almonds

3 cups of purified water

4 medjool dates (soak dates to soften if necessary)

2-5+ Ong Sohung’s

Directions: Soak almonds overnight or 8-12 hours in purified water in a large glass bowl. Once soaked, peel the skin from almonds and place into a high-speed blender with 3 cups of water. Blend until smooth. Pour mylk through a sieve to separate from pulp. Return mylk to the blender and add  the dates to sweeten, blending until the dates are broken down. Add cardamom, vanilla and cinnamon for added flavor and nourishment if you desire.

Tidbits: Date mylk is a delicious drink to help wean babies from breastfeeding. This recipe can be warmed for a more soothing effect. Allow your high-speed blender to blend the drink for 1-2 minutes or until warmed. Almonds are rich in nutrients such as protein, healthy fats, fibre, vitamin E, magnesium, selenium, manganese, zinc, potassium, iron, phosphorus and calcium. Home-made fresh raw almond mylk contains live enzymes with no additives or preservatives like most processed mylks. Drinking almond mylk is like a little piece of nutty heaven with its sweet, mild taste. It is also more gentle on the digestive system than other conventional milk products for young kiddos and people of all ages. This drink gives energy to the body and helps fight off cold.

Get in the kitchen with your kiddos. Enjoy the process of food creations together.
