Dear Spirit Voyage readers and music lovers,
My name is Gurudass Kaur and I have been chanting mantras since I moved into my first Kundalini Yoga ashram in Montague, Massachusetts back when I was 20 years old.
I have gone on to record various mantra CD’s such as Adi Shakti, Longing to Belong, Circle of Light, Enchanted and have just released yet another mantra album called Lovingly.
I just wanted to share with you a little bit about this new CD. Over the past 34 years I have been participating in and helping organize the European Yoga Festival held every summer in France. Over ten years ago we decided to give each festival a theme and a mantra that aligned with that theme. Deciding the mantra and its melody and movements became one of my contributions to the festival. This new album Lovingly contains some of those mantras that were chanted by the over 2,000 participants who encouraged me to record them!
I have chosen to offer the Ra Ma Da Sa Sa Se So Hung cut on this album as it is an exceptional mantra for clearing away the mental blocks and stress that can result in illness. For this reason it is considered the Healing Mantra. With the pace and pressures of life that we are all experiencing I felt that this could a way to reach out and touch those in need of well-being in the form of sacred sound.
