It’s so easy to connect from the heart when we are with our tribe. We know we are safe to be vulnerable, to be ourselves, and to share from our hearts. It’s more challenging to stay in the heart space as we go back into our “real” lives. Our minds might tell us that we are no longer safe to be who we are. We might feel the need to protect our hearts from the dangers of judgment and rejection.
My experience at the first Spirit Fest (now called Sat Nam Fest) in West Virginia in 2010 changed my life. I do not use those words lightly, but it is just so true. During that weekend of yoga, music, mantras and dancing, the real me broke through. Finally! Wahe Guru!
