I've had a lot of questions sent to me to clarify the eye focus during the Waheguru Wahejio meditation portion of our sadhana. To be clear, the eye focus during Sitali is unspecified, but I'd suggest closed and focused at the brow point during the pranayama. For this sadhana's meditation with Waheguru Wahejio (not all Waheguru Wahejio meditations, just this particular one), the eye focus is at the tip of the nose. Can't do that? Watch the video for a helpful modification and information on the eye focus!

You can use almost any version of Waheguru Wahejio, but honestly there are many that are unsuitable for this particular meditation due to their beat, musical breaks, etc. I’m working on compiling a list of versions that do work (which requires I listen to them all and test them out!) Snatam’s version on Merge and Flow was created with this meditation in mind, Nirinjan Kaur’s on Aquarian, Gurunam Singh on Crimson Sadhana, Sat Purkh’s A Beautiful Day come to mind off hand. You can try different versions each day if you’d like, and you certainly don’t have to stick to my list. Blessings, Ramdesh
Every day, during the meditation I suddenly notice that I had my eyes closed for I don’t know how long. Is that a problem, does it affect the meditation?
Sat nam Danielle, It is fine. Just bring your focus and attention back to the meditation when you do notice that you have allowed your mind to wander a bit by closing the eyes. Blessings! Ramdesh
Sat Nam Ramdesh Kaur – I have noticed that after I do the meditation, my eyes are blurry and today for some reason that blurriness comes and goes long after I’ve finished the meditation holding the gaze at the nose througout. Any thoughts?
Sat nam Sabrina, I think you might be holding the gaze too intensely. You should relax your gaze and back off. If it persists, see an eye doctor. ~Ramdesh
I just learnt this few days ago regarding eye focus at the nose tip.
From Pg 184 of Praana, Praanee, Praanayama
“If you really put them at the tip of your nose, you’ll see a blue circle underneath. It is called the ‘Blue Pearl’. It’s a little black-ish blue, but t is just a huge pearl. It has a hemisphere and you just see part of it. Keep it visible”
I am able to spot the bluish hue sometimes but not all the time. Hope it helps others as well.
As an FYI – I use Giani Ji’s Wahe Guru Wahe Jio version for the meditation, as recommended in the book “The Mind”
thank you for the information on the eye focus. Are the eyes closed or open when focusing on the nose?
Sat Nam
Open. You are looking at the tip of the nose. Sat nam, Ramdesh
sat nam ramdesh–

jessie
