In 2001, he was named principal clarinetist for the Young People's Symphony Orchestra with whom he shared the honor of performing at Carnegie Hall. At the age of 17, he was selected to debut Pulitzer Prizewinner Steven Stucky's "Meditation and Dance for Bb Clarinet and Piano". In 2006, Ram Dass played at the Ford Amphitheater in Hollywood with jazz greats Joseph Jarman and Roscoe Mitchell of the Art Ensemble of Chicago.
He has performed regularly alongside Snatam Kaur, Guru Ganesha Singh, Manish Vyas, and Tanmayo, and is featured on Snatam Kaur's "Live In Concert" CD. Ram Dass is also an accomplished studio musician, composer, and producer. He recently produced Prabhu Nam Kaur's album "Seasons of the Soul" featuring Snatam Kaur as well as tracks on Simrit Kaur's album "The Sweetest Nectar".
