When we trust our intuition, we are able to visualize with concentration and determination and truly feel the power of our projection and understand our purpose. If our intuition is weak, we may feel confused and depressed and have the tendency to over-intellectualize and reject spirituality. Kundalini Yoga teaches us ways to activate and trust our intuition. By practicing kundalini meditations and kriyas, we develop our intuition and learn to trust it. When we trust ourselves, our heart and mind opens to the Unknown and we receive guiding messages to live our destiny.

The Ajna Chakra, the Sixth Chakra, is also called the Third Eye and is the seat of intuition. Ajna means “to command” so the Ajna Chakra is the command chakra. Kundalini Yoga strengthens a person’s intuition by developing the Third Eye allowing a person to command his or her own life and go in the direction that he or she wants to go.

The body’s first defense against disease is the immune system. Kundalini yoga offers many kriyas that stimulate circulation, cleanse the body, and boost the immune system. One of the best ways to strengthen the immune system is through vigorous exercise. Practicing different kriyas is a great way to work up a sweat! It is important to sweat each day because sweat contains acids that make the skin inhospitable to bacteria.
Pranayam is one of the most effective ways to boost the immune system. One powerful breathing exercise is “Dog Breath”, a panting-like breath that clears mucus and toxins from the body. Yogi Bhajan said that, when practiced correctly, “The Breath of Ten is a complete breath along the line of Breath of Fire. It can give you a disease-free body, a clear, meditative mind and develop your intuition, but it requires practice.” This meditation will detox your body and leave you feeling revitalized!

Pranayam exercises are great for keeping the mind neutral and the body relaxed. They are also very effective in strengthening the immune system. If you aren’t feeling up for physical exercises, pranayam meditations are great ways to boost the immune system!
Mantras have a powerful effect on the immune system. Chanting stimulates the hypothalamus, the region of the forebrain that produces vital hormones in the immune system. Chanting is also a great way to de-stress. Mental or emotional stress disturbs the hormonal balance in the body and weakens the immune system. So if you’re feeling a little ‘under the weather’ – chant mantras!
Yogi Bhajan warned that the biggest challenge we would face in the Aquarian Age would be a Cold Depression. The constant bombardment of information and stimulation, high stress levels, rapid change and the “go – go – go” mentality of our modern world, the Cold Depression is essentially an isolation from our own soul.
One of the biggest challenges we face today is depression. So many people feel overwhelmed, over-worked, and chronically tired. The leading cause of depression is stress. Stress induced by all the elements of our modern world, information overload, constant stimulation, and rapid change. The body’s natural response to stress is to calm or ‘depress’ the nerves. If left unmanaged, this depression slows down our body’s systems and causes fluctuations in our moods and decreases our motivation. Depression also effects us in an energetic way; it weakens our aura and the electromagnetic field around the heart leaving us susceptible to toxic behaviors and environments.
When a person is are feeling at his or her best, the energy in the body is flowing freely through the spine, body and limbs, and through the chakras. If the energy gets stuck or blocked, that person can suffer from physical ailments and depression. Kundalini Yoga helps to keep the pranic (life – force) energy moving which boosts a person’s self-esteem, elevates their mood, and allows them to maintain their motivation through the cold and dark winter months.
