Dear Ramdesh,
I didn't want to post this on your wall or on that of Spirit Voyage either, as it's quite personal. I wondered if you could recommend a mantra to help with conception / fertility?
love & light,
A.
Dear A.,
How beautiful that you are opening yourself up to receive the blessings of carrying another soul within your body. There are many resources that might help you find Kundalini Yoga answers to questions of conception, carrying a baby to term and delivery. First off, I suggest looking at Gurmukh Kaur's book Bountiful, Beautiful, Blissful.
Gurmukh is a true master teacher of Pregnancy Yoga and has so much great information in her book. One quick and simple suggestion is to get into Camel Pose and do Breathe of Fire. That relaxes the ovaries and helps balance your reproduction system.
To answer your question, yes, there is a mantra to help you with conception! This is a powerful mantra that is best done in tandem with your partner. Sit back to back in ease pose with your hands in Gyan Mudra and do "Kirtan Kriya" with the mantra "Sa Ta Na Ma". This mantra connects you the cycle of life, encouraging the birth cycle to enter. It is said to create a destiny for someone who does not have one and connects one to the continuous cycle of creation.
If you are familiar with Kirtan Kriya, you're set! Just do it as a team, spine to spine. If not, here is a description.
Posture:
Sit straight in easy pose or on a chair. Meditate at the brow point (third Eye) and produce these primal sounds:
Sa Ta Na Ma
On "Sa" touch the first finger (Jupiter) with the thumb tip.
On "Ta" touch the middle finger (Saturn) with the thumb tip.
On "Na" touch the ring finger (Sun) with the thumb tip.
On "Ma" touch the pinky (Mercury) with the thumb tip
For 31 minute, chant Sa Ta Na Ma.
For the first five minutes, chant "Sa Ta Na Ma" loudly. Then chant "Sa Ta Na Ma" in a whisper for another five minutes. Then meditate repeating the words silently within your mind for eleven minutes. For the following five minutes whisper "Sa Ta Na Ma" again. For the last five minutes, chant "Sa Ta Na Ma" loudly.
Eyes: Closed
The following version of Sa Ta Na Ma by Simran Kaur, Waheguru Kaur Khalsa (now Wah!), and Guru Prem Singh Khalsa is ideal to use to follow and has the appropriate times so that you can remain in meditation and chant along.
Although Kirtan Kriya can be done for shorter or longer times, I recommend 31 minutes back to back with both partners doing it for the issue of fertility.
Blessings to you and your partner. Check back in and let us know how it went!
Sat nam!

Please what do you do about GREAT menopausproblems. I have had them for 5 years now.
I am a kundaliniyogateacher and I have tride everything. I am forced to eat hormons otherwise I cant live: I sweat 5-6 times every hour including the nights, but the worst is that my heart beats irregurly with extra beats if I dont eat the hormons.

Hi Ramdesh, Do you know of a mantra, meditation, or prayer for a newly married couple? I have friends who are getting married and I was considering either reciting something for them, or giving them something to recite/meditate on.
Thank you!
Sat Nam ~TK
I’ve also been advised since by a senior teacher than when a woman is having difficulty conceiving, she should cut out Gluten. Trouble conceiving is often connected to gluten intolerance, and a Gluten free diet can’t hurt!
As for a marriage mantra, the Laava is said during the ceremony http://www.sikhiwiki.org/index.php/Laava.
Afterwards, I might recommend to continue Tantric Sa Ta Na Ma to break any bad habits they have or suggest the So Purkh to the bride to read.
Blessings,
Ramdesh
