Frank HarrisArtist Bio: Frank Harris is a visionary who creates music from his heart. His compositions know no national boundaries, though they serve as a bridge between a variety of cultures. As one of the world’s earliest experts in digital synthesizer programming, he has also connected the richness of ancient musical traditions with modern computer technology sounds and techniques. After receiving a B.A. in music performance/classical guitar from UCLA, Harris began running Third Wave Productions, his own music production company. His credits include musical compositions for Joseph Campbell’s acclaimed lecture series “The Power of Myth”; film scores for award-winning documentaries; the original theme for ESPN’s “The Season”; film scores for the nationally syndicated TV series “The Bravest” and many, more. “From the Gekko” (1997) was lauded as one of the best global albums of the year by NPR’s All Things Considered. His latest CD “From the Cave” highlights passionate Sanskrit chants with long instrumentals combining jazz, rock, and traditional sounds from India.
